The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) are pleased to announce a new program which is being delivered at Dubai Women's College.
This innovative course has been created following an agreement between the Human Resource Development Committee-Banking and Finance Sector (HRDC-BFS) and the HCT to provide UAE nationals with an opportunity to obtain an insurance qualification accredited to HCT standards and which supports the aim of increasing Emiratisation in the insurance industry.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Economy Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi and Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, Chancellor of HCT Sheikh Nahyan Mubrarak Al Nahyan. This agreement folowed the agreement of the HIC to provide the funds for the program.
The program will support the aim of increasing the number of UAE nationals into the insurance industry.
If you are a male or female and wish to consider a professional career in insurance or are already working in the insurance profession, then this program is for you.
This program provides an opportunity for UAE Nationals to obtain an internationally recognized professional qualification, improve career prospects and experience opportunities for personal development.

Key principles of insurance
- Understanding the underwriting process
- Claims, and the principles of risk management
- The main types of general non-life products including motor, health and business insurance
- Principles of Islamic insurance
- Management, marketing and customer service in the insurance sector
