Co-Founder of the brownbook, the urban guide to the Middle-East and Dubai’s first online store Brownbag.ae. Laila graduated with honors from the Higher Colleges of Technology, in Dubai and holds a degree in Bachelors in Business Administration and Applied Sciences.
With only three months of work experience under her belt, Laila pursued her dream, along with her brothers to launch their own company, Shabib & Shabib. Operating for only two years, Shabib & Shabib has solidified itself in the market and has upcoming projects such as Deviiate (a boutiques design agency), The Shelter (a hub for young professional looking for a place to unwind) and Al Riad, (a boutique hotel), which will all be operational by the end of 2008.
brownbook magazine represents urbanism while tackling local, cultural, regional and international topics using a fresh young approach whilst benchmarking on international standards. Having only completed its first year of production in January, brownbook has solidified it presence to the international community as being the first magazine of its kind in the region.
