Operate all over Dubai, both in fixed locations (that look like Grey Post Boxes or the new ones that look like Grey traffic lights) and when set up by the police on small tripods like in Western Countries. The Dubai Police are expanding there use greatly

You will soon notice the fixed locations by the speeding cars in front of you jamming on their brakes! They are on Beach Road in Jumeira and  near the Al Hamriyah Vegetable Market  as well as about 20 of them on Shk Zayed Road between Interchange 5 and the Garhoud Bridge. They cover both directions. They are also on Emirates road at the back of Dubai.

Mobile ones are used a lot in Al Wasl Rd, Baghdad St and Mina Road.

Fines start at Dhs 500 Driving through a red light is a Dhs1,500 fine the  first time +3 days in jail on second time. You can check fines on the Dubai Police website here. Go to the "Online services" section
