H: Drive This drive is a personal storage space, especially for backing up your e-mail. To ensure that you stay within your space limit, please perform regular maintenance on your e-mail by deleting unnecessary mail and emptying your trash folder. We also recommend that you use this space to keep a copy of important files. Note: Only you have access to the drive contents.

K: Drive This drive is to provide a mapping for applications to run and is not intended for general use. Even though it can provide you access to other folders on the drive, other drives (P: U: V: W:) provide more direct access to the relevant resources.

P: Drive This drive is meant for the longer term storage of class-related projects. Both staff and students can access this drive. Access is limited to certain folders (directories) by program type. Staff have full access rights and students initially also have full access rights. This means that students can store and access files on this drive. There is an option whereby staff can be given the rights to assign and limit access to their students on this drive.

S: Drive This drive is for the sharing of information among programs (e.g. OTEC, HS, IA). All staff within the group have full access to this drive. Students do not have access to this drive.

V: Drive This drive is for the submission of completed projects / assignments by students. Once the assignment is complete, students should copy files (not "save as") to this directory using Windows Explorer. Once the student has copied a file to this drive, they cannot access it again for modification or even to view it. Staff have full rights and can delete and create files. Please ensure that proper maintenance is carried out on this drive, by deleting unnecessary and old files.

W: Drive This drive is for the distribution of assignments, etc. to the students. The suggested method for distribution is to create a new folder (directory) under your program folder and copy the relevant files to that folder. The students can then access / copy files from this directory, but cannot change or delete the files. Staff have full rights to this drive and can delete and create files. Please ensure that proper maintenance is carried out on this drive, by deleting unnecessary and old files.
