My wife and I have a son aged 8 and a daughter aged 9. We are all English but the children have spent most of their time abroad. We have lived in the Umm Sequeim area of Dubai for 3 years and in all that time the children have been attending Jebel Ali Primary School some 18 km from our villa. The School Bus Service is excellent.

The school follows the British Curriculum and is situated within the purpose built Jebel Ali Village on a small hill (Jebel) next to Jebel Ali Sports Club where the children have the use of a large swimming pool for classes, after school activities and swimming training for the school team.

We are very pleased indeed with both the education and the after school activities and in particular the school's participation in in all 'Inter-School' competitions.

From Choir, Dancing and Art to Sailing, Rugby, Karate and Gym the school provides a wide range of after school activities to keep all children happy.

The Head Master is very friendly and approachable but maintains considerable respect and control from parents, staff and children."

We have two children at Jebel Ali Primary School and we are extremely happy with it. The pupils are overwhelmingly British and it follows the British National Curriculum so children wanting to be able to slot back into the British system later on would do well. The facilities are good because of the sports centre next door and there is a good bus service.

The school has very high academic standards and provides a warm and caring environment for children. It is quite small so it manages to have the feel of a community school. The administration are good to deal with and any concerns we have had have been dealt with very well. My wife has asked to visit the school a number of times outside ordinary visits and there has never been a problem. The school also has a good range of after school clubs. We would thoroughly recommend parents to send their children here.

They are now in the process of building a new pool and an MPH so the facilities will be excellent when that work is finished. There is a also an active PTA which organizes enjoyable fund raising events for parents and families.

We (Australian / American family) have two children attending the infant department at Jebel Ali Primary School. We are extremely pleased with the school. The teachers (predominantly British) have been excellent & the facilities are good.

There are a wide range of extra curricular activities. My children participate in soccer & ballet & seem to enjoy both. The school is situated on two separate campuses that are about 2 kilometers apart. The reception, grade one & two are on one campus & grade 3 to 6 are on the other campus. If you are looking for a peaceful environment for your childs education then I would thoroughly recommend this school.
