DWC Entrepreneurship Competition and Showcase

(Formally the DWC Bazaar)

The Entrepreneurship Competition and Showcase is an annual event held at Dubai Women’s College which enables all of the student body to get involved in a festive yet educational event.

Festive in that the event includes such things as :

  • Student run booths selling a variety of goods
  • Art and Environmental exhibitions
  • Entertainment
  • Fashion Shows
  • Musical Groups
  • Poetry reading
  • Children’s events
  • Food Fair

Educational

The students have to take the initiative to organise and run the event. Under the guidance of various faculty members, the students take both the responsibility and the authority for organising and running the various activities. This gives them ownership for the event and makes them understand the challenges that come with putting together such a varied event.

The Bazaar concentrates the way people are doing business now and will do so in the future. It is organised around  "Student Run" Businesses which are managed by HD 2 Business students

The duration of the Entrepreneurship Competition and Showcase is usually 3 days and it runs in early December.
