DWC is the healthy place to be! We serve healthy meals and snacks in 3 locations: Cafeteria, Coffee Shop and Student Center. The Cafeteria offers an excellent selection of fresh meats, fish and vegetables, and a salad bar, prepared by Abela and Co. Ltd. An outlet of Sandella® which offers wraps, pizzas and sandwiches is housed in the same location. Al Multaqa Coffee Shop, located in the Library building, and Gloria Jean’s, located in the Student Center, provide tasty alternatives if you are in a hurry. All the food on campus is cooked in transfat-free oil, and is labeled using a special color coding system which makes it easy for you make healthy food choices on a daily basis.

The UAE faces major health issues with very high numbers for the incidence of diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity. Therefore, DWC puts great emphasis on educating you about healthy eating choices. If you are interested in participating in this cause, you can join the DWC LEAN Team, a campus-wide committee committed to enhancing wellness programming and healthy eating.
