Shenzhen, China
Thirteen Networking students from the IT Department visited the Huawei organization in China for training in the latest technology in Networking in 2009. The students spent one week in Shenzhen, China, and successfully completed a training course on the use of the latest networking technology. Students also had a chance to tour the Huawei headquarter facilities including logistics, data center, and products’ exhibition. During the tour, students learned how robots are used to store products in the warehouse thus reducing energy consumption.

Dublin, Ireland
IT students spent one week in Ireland in 2005 visiting many academic institutes and commercial centers, Trinity College in Dublin and one of the largest Intel manufacturing sites in the world. They also travelled to Galway and visited the European Union research facility at the National University of Ireland. The students benefited greatly from this study tour which was fully sponsored by Dubai Duty Free.
