Collaborative Training Project The Human Resource Management students complete a training project where they provide management training for corporate employees at a chosen organization, using both face-to-face teaching and e-learning technology. Employers get the chance to see what DWC students have to offer and, in turn, our students experience the excitement and challenges involved in teaching and developing real employees. This project creates an opportunity for students to showcase their talent in terms of their knowledge, skills and abilities in front of potential employers. Many students are offered jobs due to their excellent performance in these training sessions.
Emirates Islamic Bank Retail Banking Experience Emirates Islamic Bank (EIB) Retail Banking Experience is a project where business students receive training at the EIB branch located on campus, in the Student Center. They are trained on bank products and procedures. They practice time management and learn to apply customer service while working in a professional environment. Armed with this training and knowledge of personal financial management, students make presentations across the College to other fellow students, explaining the importance of money management, saving and a range of bank facilities.
Family Case Study Family Case Study is a project where students select a UAE national family to assess their current financial situation – money, assets, liabilities, income, expenses and financial plans and goals. With this information, they prepare a Personal Balance Sheet, a Cash flow Statement, Financial Goals and a Monthly Budget for the family. They also study the family’s financial needs and recommend the best products in the areas of savings, borrowing, insurance, investment and retirement planning. Many Emirati families have benefitted from the sound financial advice they received because of this project. |
